Bathroom Remodel – Safe, Stylish, and Low Maintenance
This remodel began with an outdated tile walk-through shower and a hidden full-tile bathtub tucked around the corner—accessible only by stepping over a pony wall. It was a layout that didn’t make much sense and took up valuable space.
The homeowner had three clear goals:
Create a safer shower with no tub.
Eliminate tile for easy maintenance.
Let us choose all the materials based on our expertise—no shopping trips required.
We started by demoing everything to create a blank slate. The old tub plumbing was repurposed for a new vanity, and the shower plumbing was relocated to the new shower space. We built a new wall to form a dedicated shower alcove, then installed a low-threshold shower pan for safer entry.
A sleek, single-handle shower valve and an adjustable-height shower head on a slide bar were installed for convenience and flexibility. The shower is now finished with cultured marble wall panels—no grout, no maintenance worries. We completed the space with a bypass glass enclosure and safety grab bars for added security.
We installed a new vanity featuring a matching cultured marble top with an undermount porcelain sink and a faucet that complements the shower fixtures. Overhead, we added recessed LED ceiling lights and a new exhaust fan to improve ventilation and lighting.
Keeping with the “no tile” theme, we laid down luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring—offering the look of tile with a softer feel and no grout lines to clean.
After seeing the transformation, the homeowner asked us to update the master vanity area as well. We installed new cabinetry topped with quartz countertops, an undermount porcelain sink, and a modern faucet—all tied together with bright, updated lighting.
The result? A fresh, functional, and easy-to-maintain space that met every one of the homeowner’s goals.
